Troubleshooting the Boca Printer

The Boca Printer is not connecting or print test receipt does not work

  1. On the iPad home page, tap on Settings and then Bluetooth
  2. Tap on the i next to the Boca Printer and then tap on Forget this device
  3. Turn off and disconnect the Boca Printer from power for 1 minute
  4. Reconnect the device and wait 30 seconds for the Boca Printer to warm up
  5. Set up the device following these instructions
  6. If the issue persists, then delete the FrontDesk app and re-install it from the Apple AppStore
  7. Connect the device to the iPad again
  8. If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Experience team at support@anyroad.com

The Boca Printer fails to power-up

  1. Try a different power cord
  2. Try a different power outlet

The Boca Printer delivers poor print quality or does not print at all, is there something wrong with it?

  1. Try a different stack of ticket stock
  2. Make sure the print head lock assembly is fully locked in the closed position
  3. Clean print head (Consult the Boca Printer manual for instructions)
  4. The type of ticket stock may be incorrect (i.e., thermal transfer), try other ticket stock (Boca Tickets).

Why does my printer not cut on the perforation between the tickets?

It is not recommended to let the printer cut precisely on/through the perforation. Cutting on the perforation causes extra debris and it might also lead to paper jams as the perforation occasionally impedes the cutter to perform a clear cut. If tickets are not separated completely, it is obvious this will cause movement problems and paper jams which could obstruct printer functionality.

  1. Make sure that the black stripe is at the bottom when inserting the ticket stock into the Boca Printer
  2. You can test print by pressing the middle button on the side which reads test
  3. If the printer does not print the first time of use, please allow 15-20 minutes for it to warm up and then try printing again.
